What are the benefits of a facial?

A facial is essentially a multi-step skin treatment that is one of the best ways to take care of your skin. A facial cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion and can help your skin look younger and healthier.

How do I prepare for my first appointment?

Accepted Answer

Please avoid using any type of acids/retinol products on your face for ONE week before your appointment. These products thin the skin, and can result in far more redness and irritation post treatment. Also, please avoid any sort of hair removal sugaring/waxing for ONE week before your appointment.
 
Makeup - It's preferred that you show up with a clean face. After the skin treatment, you may wear mineral powder, but we recommend you avoid any sort of cream-based makeup for the rest of the day.

How will my skin feel after?

The HEALTHY GLOW immediately achieved following a facial should last typically 48 to 72 hours, as the skin is deeply hydrated and circulation has been boosted allowing fresh blood to bring new nutrients to the cells. The OVERALL affect of the treatment will last about a month. Your skin regenerates itself about every 30 days, and reverts back to what your DNA tells it to do. To counteract that, we need to reprogram your skin cells every 4-6 weeks depending on the severity of your skin issues. It's advised that you support these treatments by using specialized products at home. I will make recommendations for skincare products you can purchase online or in stores.

I have a big event coming up!

Ideally, a facial treatment/peel is to be done 7-10 days before your big event. Any breakouts or dryness that might occur from the purging process will be cleared by then.

Can men get facials too?

Accepted Answer

Heck yes!! Keep in mind, the less hair there is to get in the way, the more easily and effectively the products will be able to get to work on your skin. If you do shave on the day of your facial, be sure to do so at least six to eight hours before your appointment. If your face is prone to irritation after shaving, shave 24 hours before your appointment.
